Why is Makkah Holiest City in Islam.There is no disbelief in that Makkah and Madinah are the two holiest cities in Islam. This can be taken into acceptance by the indications mentioned in the Quran in various Hadiths.
Where is Makkah?
It is situated in the Hejazi region of Arabian Peninsula and the plain of Tihama in Saudi Arabia. In Islam, there is no sacred place hinted than Makkah city. As a matter of fact, its historical events have impacted this city by the holy text (Quran) of Islam , addressed by Prophet Muhammad.
Why is Makkah named as The Holiest City in Islam?

- It is the home to Ka’bah and Ka’bah which is considered the first house of the Allah, i.e. the place to gather to pray to the Allah.

Makkah is the Centre of the World
The House of Allah (Baitullah) is a center of the earth. It’s a mosque which was first built by Prophet Adam when he was sent down by Allah straight from heaven. It was nearly disappeared due to the civilization changed and then was rebuilt again by Prophet Abraham.
From the time, Prophet Muhammad brought peaceful reclamations of Islam to it until today; it became the holiest city in the world.
The Sacred Land of Makkah in Quran
The Islamic history suggests that certain shrine cities in Makkah and certain months of the year are considered most sacred. In those times, Arabs avoided bloodshed and violence in respect of religious pilgrimage.
In the Qur’an, the Ka`bah is often referred to simply as “the House” (al-bayt), or as the “sacred House,” or the “ancient House”, insofar as the Qur’an declares it to be the “first House” established for mankind:
“Lo! The first Sanctuary (bayt) appointed for mankind was that at Becca [Mecca], a blessed place, and guidance for mankind; wherein are plain memorials (of God’s guidance); the place where Abraham stood up to pray; and whosoever enters it is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto God for mankind, for him who can find a way there. As for him who disbelieves, (let him know that) lo! God is Independent of (all) creatures.”
